You have the spiritual authority over your children until they are of the age of accountability. It is different with each child.

Personally, I would pray over them while they sleep. No need to traumatize them unless you want them to learn and learn to do it for themselves.

Father God, I pray for my children (insert names here) and I lift them up to you. They have inherited the spirit of ???list names here??? from my generations and the spirit of ???list names here??? from my husband's line. Father God, every spirit of ???list names here??? that have come through the family line, I repent, renounce and fall out of agreement that I have let these spirits go to my child. And in the name of Jesus, I break every power and cancel every assignment in my child's life, and in the name of Jesus, by His authority and by the authority He has given me, I command now that every generational spirit be broken and go to the pit now, in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, I ask that you rise up in my child and heal them and give them a revelation of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, amen.
